Time in Syria

Well, I have finally done it. I've just sent a letter of resignation to Mrs Assad, proposing that I step down at the end of March next year. We had discusssed the possibility that I might move from this role on to a sort of Chairman role, but I now believe I should cut the knot completely. It's never a pleasant thing to do, but for all sorts of reasons I feel it is the best thing for me, the family and for the project, although it may take people some time to see the latter. Anyhow, it's final, and I will have to wait for her response to see how we go forward.
