Between 2004 and 2010 I ran a non-governmental project to create non-formal learning experiences for young people, based in Damascus, Syria. This blog sets out some of my thoughts about the project, Syria, being away from home in London, and other stuff.
The site for our discovery centre was the location for international trade fairs in Syria for decades up to 2000, when the trade fairs moved out of the city centre. These old photos show the site in its pomp.
